Part 1: The Curse of the Dumbbell

Brosgaeus was the kind of guy everyone in the gym noticed. Standing six feet tall with muscles that looked like they had muscles, he was a walking advertisement for protein powder and intense workouts. He firmly believed mirrors existed for two reasons: to check your form and to admire his.

But while Brosgaeus had the physique of a champion, he lacked one crucial thing: kindness.

Every day, he'd strut into the gym, sneering at anyone who wasn't as big or as strong as he was.

"You're wasting your time," he'd scoff at newcomers struggling with their form. "You'll never get anywhere lifting like that."

To him, the gym was a battlefield, and only the strongest survived.

One day, as Brosgaeus was finishing his usual grueling workout, something strange caught his eye.

In the corner of the gym, covered in dust, sat a dumbbell he'd never noticed before. It was heavy, even by his standards, with ancient-looking engravings etched into its sides.

Curious—and dismissive of anything that didn't involve raw strength—Brosgaeus picked it up.

The metal felt strangely warm.

Too warm.

As if it had been sitting in direct sunlight... indoors.

The moment his fingers wrapped around the handle, a strange sensation coursed through his body. The room began to spin, and a deep, booming voice echoed in his mind.

"Let the weight of your arrogance be lifted."

Before he could react, everything went black.

---

When Brosgaeus opened his eyes, he found himself in a strange, cramped space.

He tried to move, but his body wouldn't respond.

Panic set in as he realized he couldn't see himself. He couldn't feel himself. Instead, he could only observe the world through a small, square window.

"What the... what's happening?"

Before he could make sense of it, he heard a cheerful voice.

"Whoa, this is a cool wireless charging mount!"

The voice belonged to Geoffrey—or Jeff, as he preferred to be called.

Jeff was a young guy who had just begun his fitness journey. He wasn't as strong or as built as Brosgaeus, but he had something Brosgaeus lacked: a genuinely kind heart and plenty of determination.

Jeff had just bought a new phone, and the mount seemed perfect for his car.

Brosgaeus tried to yell.

Nothing.

The only sound he could make was a faint electronic buzz.

That's when the horrifying truth hit him.

He had been transformed into... a wireless charging phone mount.

Completely unaware of the bizarre situation, Jeff attached the mount to his dashboard, adjusted it, and happily drove away.

As they cruised down the street, Brosgaeus' thoughts raced.

He was no longer the intimidating gym rat everyone feared.

He was an object.

A tool.

Something designed to help someone else.

For the first time in his life, Brosgaeus felt small, powerless, and completely out of control.

As the world rolled past from his new, unmoving perspective, a single thought consumed him.

How am I going to get out of this?

And thus began Brosgaeus' journey—not just to regain his human form, but to discover what it truly meant to be strong.

To be continued...
