About the Author

Chris Rubio is an architect of atmosphere, weaving together the threads of multiple genres to create literary tapestries that are as unpredictable as they are poignant. With a background in theater and a lifelong obsession with the arcane, Rubio's writing breathes life into characters who are often overlooked—the weary, the witty, and the wonderfully strange.

Behind the pseudonym Crimson Bloodthorne lies a storyteller dedicated to the craft of connection, believing that the most fantastic worlds are those that reflect our deepest human truths. When not lost in the archives, Chris can be found adventuring through the real world, seeking inspiration in flickering streetlights and quiet corners.

The Crimson Chronicles: A Theatrical Biography

Ah.
So you’ve wandered deeper into the archive.

Good.

I am Crimson Bloodthorne — curator of strange tales, keeper of forgotten doors, collector of mysteries, catastrophes, ghosts, monsters, detectives, dreamers, and the occasional emotionally unstable immortal.

Some stories arrive quietly.

Others kick down the door covered in blood, glitter, bad decisions, and emotional damage.

I keep them all.

Within these halls you will find noir investigations beneath flickering streetlights, ancient horrors hiding behind velvet curtains, forests filled with talking animals and impossible inventions, and worlds where comedy and tragedy frequently share the same table.

Not every story here is dark.
Not every monster has fangs.
And not every hero survives unchanged.

But every tale matters.

So take your time.
Browse the shelves.
Open the wrong door.
Follow the music echoing from somewhere downstairs.

The archive is vast.

And there are still many stories waiting to be uncovered.

The Real World: Chris Rubio

Stories have always been my favorite way to explore the world — and occasionally survive it.

I’m a genre-blending author who writes mysteries, supernatural adventures, cozy tales, emotional thrillers, strange comedies, and stories that usually live somewhere between heartbreak and absurdity. My work is filled with detectives chasing impossible truths, emotionally exhausted vampires, chaotic found families, quiet heroes, and people trying to hold onto hope in worlds that don’t always make it easy.

I believe stories should make you feel something. Sometimes that means suspense. Sometimes laughter. Sometimes it means sitting quietly with a character at two in the morning while they try to figure out who they are.

When I’m not building fictional worlds, I’m usually juggling too many creative projects at once, drinking too much coffee, chasing new ideas, or disappearing into another story that refused to leave me alone until I wrote it down.

No matter the genre, my stories are connected by the same heartbeat:
humor, humanity, mystery, and the strange beauty of imperfect people trying their best.

So whether you came here for noir detectives, cozy forests, gothic vampires, or complete chaos — welcome.
I’m glad you found your way here.
